...here are some pictures from Harstad, north Norway, where I've been working with StatoilHydro on a new project for the last week. Harstad is in the arctic circle, and it's snowy and cold just now. But the scenery is breathtaking.
Here I am with my new friend, the stuffed polar bear that has pride of place in the entrance lobby of the StatoilHydro office. Apparently the bear doesn't have a name yet. That can be a project for my next visit (which will probably be in June). This polar bear isn't that big, but I reckon it could still rip your face off pretty good.

Fantastic scenery! Pity it had to be interrupted by work!
So, are you going to climb any of them?
It looks lovely Paul. Have you found time to be a tourist yet?
Well, I'm probably going back for four weeks in June, so I might climb some mountains then. The priority is going to be cycling, though, since I keep telling everyone that I'm going to ride the Cat and Fiddle time trial this year. It will happen, oh yes.
It is absolutely beautiful around Harstad. Dan Tuppen (team leader for Halten East) kindly drove me around a bit on the spare Saturday I had, which is where the photos come from. Hopefully I'll get more time to explore in summer, but of course there won't be any snow then...
